About me

Hi! My name is Maya and I’m a portrait and event ​photographer located in San Diego, CA.

For me photography is not just a hobby or work, ​it’s a part of my life. I’m inspired by people, their ​relationships, emotions, feelings… Everyone is so ​different, yet everyone wants to capture certartain ​moments in their life that will last them a lifetime. ​And that’s where I come in. I take photographs of ​couples, families, newborns, individuals, special ​events… you name it. There is such a variety in my ​sphere!

If you have not taken professional photos yet, don’t ​worry, I am the person to go to. I love helping ​people feel confident during a photo session and ​just have fun and be themselves. I’m so grateful ​that I can do what I love and connect with other ​people to show them all their beauty through my ​lens. I’ve met so many wonderful people and ​excited to meet you!

The Experience

During our photo session, you can expect a focused and efficient experience as I aim to capture beautiful moments and create lasting memories for you. Before we begin, we’ll have a brief discussion to understand your preferences, the style you’re looking for and any specific shots or poses you’d like to include.

 

Throughout the session, I’ll guide you through different poses and expressions to capture a variety of shots. My priority is to make you feel comfortable and natural during the process, allowing us to capture authentic moments. In addition to posed shots, I’ll keep an eye out for candid moments that reflect genuine emotions. My style when shooting is “posed, but make it candid”. I will tell you up front to please laugh, relax and don’t worry about the camera!

If you have multiple outfits planned for the session, we’ll ​allow time for wardrobe changes, ensuring diversity in the ​final gallery. Never ever feel rushed because we have all ​the time in the world!

After the session, I’ll carefully select and edit the best ​images to enhance colors, clarity, and overall quality. You ​can expect to receive the final edited images either through ​an online gallery or digital download within a few days to a ​couple of weeks.

My goal is to create a friendly and fun experience for you, ​ensuring that the photography session is enjoyable and ​stress-free. I’m dedicated to delivering stunning ​photographs that you’ll cherish for years to come!

Maya took our family portraits outdoors in the fall. She was super ​easy to work with, especially with our two children.
